Making decisions and making things happen for me

I have been secretly and not so secretly attending cosmetology school at night to get my nail license. An amazing teacher told me once, "If you have dreams, make them happen. If you want more, you have to do more. Get another license. If you want an empire you have to do it all." So I am getting another license. With going back to school, working full time and working part time...I have no life. I have a life, but it is consumed by building my "empire." I am proud of myself for all that I am trying to achieve but I had to make a decision. I have decided to leave my part time job at the salon I work at. I have to finish school and I have been at it too long...at this rate I won't have my license till Christmas! YIKES. So full steam ahead I will finish nail school.

This weekend I am off to IMATS (The International Makeup Artist Trade Show) where I will take in several classes and meet my idol EVE PEARL!! So excited.

When I return my plan is to start actively making posts and reviews on esthetics products. STAY TUNED.

Here we go...

Hello, hello, hello. I am a beauty addict who turned my addiction into a job therefore making it my passion. I was so bored working 9 to 5 in the business world that I took my love for makeup, skincare, glitter, and overall wellness into a career by going to Esthetics's school. This has opened my eyes to so many things. It took me a year to complete school. I went at night, after work from 5:30pm to 10pm every night and then on Sundays. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Here I am almost 3 years later learning the ins and outs and ups and downs of the beauty industry and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Now I know that makeup and beauty blogs are a dime a dozen and everyone thinks that they are an expert about something... but I am not doing this blog to show you just make up looks and tell you my likes from a recent line.

I am doing this blog to share my knowledge and experiences with you as a professional who is experiencing the industry, the tips my teachers have shared with me, the out of the way skincare companies you have never heard of (beyond the department store brand)...I'm going to share with you what I wished someone would have shared with me along the way while I was in skincare school.

I hope you will find me entertaining and worthy of your time in this fast paced life we are all experiencing. So stick around...
